According to my first performance and Internet researches, I realized that keep our mind empty during performances is important. We should get rid of noises or distracting sounds around us during performances. They stop our body function well, which means we are unable to play as good as we normally practice. In this case, we limit our abilities greatly. What I found out on the websites were, we have to enter the space where we can focus on our own things. Besides, keep our eyes to look forward or just close eyes when we perform. ( That helps a lot )
We usually have pressure when we perform in the formal places. From the talks with my old teacher in Taiwan, I realized that our qualities of performances deduct twenty percent compared to the causal pracitces. Thus, we may think we fail to perform well, however, formal performances really effect our performances.
Power of Intention
What drives us to practice are strong intentions, ambitions. A Musician who does not practice cannot really call themselves a musician. Anyone who loves their instrument and wants to make it part of their life should crave time to further master their art. If we can only read music and work out how to play songs with ease does not mean we do not have to put in time and efforts. If we are serious about wanting music to be a part of our life, we will have to learn all we can and continue to improve indefinitely. Musicians who don't practice seem arrogant and conceited and often fall behind everyone else in ability and technique. Thus, most of the musicians have the strong of intention to practice.
Priority of Thought
According to the websites I went, the priority of thoughts for us before performances should be empty and clear. How to not think before performances ? According to my experiences, I chew gums and chat instead of thinking what I have to say to audiences. Thus, I never had any excessive thoughts before perfomances.
